During the famine some Nash's immigrated to Australia. Monteagle Immigrants.

Nash, Catherine. Age 19. Whiskey Hall. Parents Maurice and Ellen Nash. She arrived on the Ship Cressy in Sydney, Australia 12 Jan 1856. She was followed by her brother Michael in 1857, brother Maurice in 1859, brother John and sister Ellen in 1865(on the Wallasea) and very likely her mother, Ellen in 1868.

1857 Reps. of Morgan Nash land went to Pat Nash. By 1871 was owned by Michael Enright. Michael Enright married Patrick Nash's widow, Catherine.

(Jack and Mary Nash raised John T. Cregan, son of Annie Hall and Patrick Cregan

were never put on the big stone. Catherine Bridget was the Katie who was 2 months older than John T. Cregan;
Mary B. Nash was able to nurse them both when baby John was brought to the Nashs after Annie Hall Cregan's death.
